The next generation of transportation designers is creating the future and leading the innovation economy.

21st century transportation designers look beyond styling to create vehicles that offer solutions to complex social, political and technical challenges facing the automotive industry. At ArtCenter, our students learn to become passionate problem solvers focused on developing design solutions addressing some of the most pressing issues of our times.

Our curriculum emphasizes sustainable mobility and life cycle implications in addition to styling, comfort, safety and responsibility. Two new concentrations—Alternative Transportation and Vehicle Interiors—offer exposure to the rapidly evolving landscapes of personal and public transportation.

Our instructors are professional designers and successful entrepreneurs working in the industry. Thanks to this vibrant current of energy passing between the campus and professional design studios, students gain an insider’s perspective of this rapidly changing and highly competitive profession.
